Before the start of new season I would like to close previous season in just a few words. In season 2 this mythology was expanded to both werewolves and original vampires. The werewolves were presented as cursed creatures who forced to undergo painful transitions during the full moon opposite to the calm composure of those original vampires. In season 2 Caroline became a vampire where as Tyler Lockwood became a werewolf.

Bringing all the story lines together as one point, was the sun and moon curse which required the sacrifice of a Vampire, a werewolf and Alena. The biggest climax was the killing of the three victims of Klaus and breaking the curse.

Another most interesting turning point of the second season was the declaration of Alena desiring not to become a Vampire and lose her humanity, this was one of the strengths of the show that she was capable on her own, with or without Stephen. The Love triangle between Stephen, Alena and Damon remained driving force during the second second for the audience.

Working together of Alaric and Damon is also a big amusement in itself hopefully same kind of entertainment will be available for the viewers for people who are anxiously waiting.

Season 3 of Vampire Diaries is going to start from 15 September 2011 which is a production of Kevin Williams and Julie Plec. It is a horror drama serial as based upon the novels by L.J Smith.it premiered on sep 15,2011 consisting of 22 episodes.
